SR wheel block system –
unlimited potential applications

STAHL CraneSystems: wheel blocks form the basis for a crab   All-purpose:
here wheel blocks form the basis for a crab for the AS 7 wire rope hoist.
STAHL CraneSystems: Off-standard crab with 8 wheel blocks   A total of 8 wheel blocks are used on this off-standard crab: 4 of them provide for the travel motion along the crane runway, a further 4 wheel blocks are arranged on their own circular runway and rotate the platform mounted on them together with the hoist and the load suspended from it. Structures of this kind are suitable for example if during production the controlled rotation of heavy loads is regularly required.
STAHL CraneSystems: Wheel blocks on a circular runway   A circular runway is no problem for the wheel blocks. Lateral pressure rollers keep the wheel blocks on course.
STAHL CraneSystems: Portal crane on 8 wheel blocks   Weight distribution for a crane application on a historic bridge:
the 16 t load of this portal crane rests on
8 STAHL CraneSystems wheel blocks. In this way the wheel load remains below that of the Budapest trams which cross the Margaret Bridge of the Donau every day. Each wheel block has its own drive so that the crane can function safely in spite of the curvature of the bridge and high winds.
